In Android Marshmallow you can use the System UI Tuner to customize the status bar. However, this features is not visible at the beginning in Android marshmallow, but must be activated first before you can use it.
We would like to like to explain in this article how you can activate on a smartphone with Android Marshmallow the UI System Tuner.
This works very simply as follows:
1. Draw the status bar from the top to the middle of the display.
2. Now tap with your finger on the gear icon on the top right and stay on the button for about 5 seconds.
3. Then you will receive a notification message in which you will be informed that the System UI Tuner has been successfully activated in Android Marshmallow.
4. The system UI tuner can now be used under Menu --> Settings.
You have just successfully enabled the System UI Tuner on your smartphone with Android Marshmallow and can now start to adjust the status bar individually.
