The Samsung Galaxy S20, S10, S9 has a special screen built in, the so-called Always On Display. This shows when the smartphone is on the table permanently the time, calendar data, weather, etc.
The Always On Display serves as a replacement for the notification LED, which is unfortunately no longer installed on these models. For example, an activated Always On Display looks like this:

Always on Display activation via Android settings
Start from the home screen of your smartphone and then follow these steps in order:
1. Open the settings of Android.
2. Navigate to "Lock Screen".
3. Select "Always On Display". ("Can only be activated when the power saving mode is inactive"
4. Activate the Always On Display via the Master control at the top.
You can then set various options, such as clock style, music information, rotate horizontally and much more.
Once you have defined the settings here, you can also activate the AoD more quickly via the status bar. It works like this:

To do this, on the Samsung Galaxy S20, S10, S9, drag the status bar from above into the screen. You will now see various "toggles", i.e. buttons with functions.
One of these buttons is called "Always On Display
Tap the button to disable the Always On Display on the Samsung Galaxy S20, S10, S9, or tap them again to enable it again.
If the button is not visible, then tap on "Edit" so that all available toggles on the Samsung Galaxy S20, S10, S9 are displayed. Here you will find the "Always On Display" toggle.
