The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) can be powered by apps and applications from the Google Play Store. The Google Play Store will also automatically update the app after it has been installed.
This means that if a newer app version is available it will be installed automatically. If you don't want to do this, but prefer to decide for yourself when an app should be updated, you can deactivate the auto-update function.
Follow these steps to turn off the automatic Google Play Store updates on the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018):
- On the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018), open the Google Play Store. Inside it, tap the three horizontal bars in the upper left corner to display the menu.
- Select the entry "Settings" in this menu.
In the overview of the settings you will see the entry "Automatic App Updates". touch the entry and you can choose from the following options in the next window:
- Via a network
- Only via W-Lan
- Do not allow automatic app updates
Select the lowest entry here to disable automatic updates on your Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018).
Afterwards, apps will no longer be automatically updated on your Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018), but you will have to trigger the updates yourself.
