You can disable apps that you run on the Huawei P20 Pro to display on the full screen. The function behind this is "full screen mode" and can be activated or deactivated in the Android settings.
Usually you will get a hint or the question if you want to use a certain app in full screen mode when you start it for the first time.
If you answered this with "Yes", the app will now always be displayed in full screen mode. This in turn means that the navigation bar is not displayed to you or that you cannot recognize the content of the app.
If you now want to deactivate an app that is displayed in full-screen mode on the Huawei P20 Pro, you must proceed as follows:
Deactivate full screen mode for certain apps - Huawei P20 Pro
1. Open Settings
2. Navigate to "Display" and then to "Full Screen Display"
3. You will now see all apps for which the full screen display has not been optimized for the Huawei P20 Pro. All apps that have been optimized by the app programmers for the Huawei P20 Pro for full screen mode are not displayed here. (You cannot deactivate full screen mode there either)
4. Now move the controller to "Inactive" for the app where you want to deactivate full screen mode
The full screen mode on the Huawei P20 Pro will then be deactivated for this app. You now know how to manually deactivate full-screen mode for apps that are not made for the Huawei P20 Pro display.
