The Samsung Galaxy S20 offers you the possibility to unlock the Samsung Galaxy S20 via face recognition. The so called "Face unlock" recognizes your previously saved face and unlocks the smartphone in case of a positive recognition.
Now, despite successful Face Unlock detection, you still have to move the lock screen up to use the smartphone. If you want to avoid this, you must now deactivate the following option in the settings:
- Stay on lock screen
You will find the function hidden in the following submenu of the Samsung Galaxy S20
Switch off "Stay on lock screen" - This is how it works on the Samsung Galaxy S20
1. Open the Android system settings.
2. Go to "Biometrics and Security".
3. From there please select "Face Recognition".
4. Then uncheck the option "Stay on lock screen".
This will now cause the home screen of your Samsung Galaxy S20 to be displayed directly instead of the lock screen after successful Face Unlock detection.
You now know how to use Face Unlock to go directly to the home screen after your face has been correctly recognized.
After face recognition, the lock screen must be actively closed.
