WhatsApp has recently launched a new function that give you the ability to proofe when a message has been read by the recipient. This can be seen at the double blue tick. Who likes this function, will like this new WhatsApp feature. Because now you can also see in WhatsApp, at which time the WhatsApp message has been read. This is possible through a time stamp.

With an OTA update, you can update the firmware of your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to the latest build version. Section "System" --> Language & input --> gear icon next to "Samsung Keyboard --> Input languages " English"

This opens a window in which you can choose between the following keyboard layouts:

    - QWERTY keyboard
    - 3x4 keyboard

Now set the marker at 3x4 keyboard to use this as active keyboard layout for your Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Finished! You have now successfully activated the 3x4 keypad on your Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

In the camera app on the Samsung Galaxy S5, you can find an image stabilizer that helps you to take pictures without camera shake. Now it can happen to you that you can not activate the image stabilizer in the camera app settings, because it is grayed out. If you're wondering why you can not activate the image stabilizer on the Samsung Galaxy S5, then we want to explain this briefly.

The image stabilizer for the camera of the Samsung Galaxy S5 can only be activated when you are in the camera mode "Auto". This corresponds to the camera's automatic mode. Other modes such as "Beautiful portrait" or "shot and More" etc. do not offer the use of the image stabilizer.

Switch off the Nexus 5 smartphone completely. Turn it on again and if you can see the Google logo press and hold the volume Volume Down button until the phone vibrates. A small menu will appear. Navigate with the volume buttons on the Nexus 5 at "Recovery Menu" and then press once the power button to confirm.

A Android man lying on the the back appears at the screen. Keep the volume up button pressed for about 6 seconds until a new menu appears. Select within this menu now "Wipe Cache Partition". Confirm it with the power button, so that the wipe is performed. After clearing the cache the Nexus 5 can be restarted. Done!

You have now successfully performed a wipe cache partition after updating to Android Lollipop 5.0 on the Nexus 5.

Who already received an update of the new Android Lollipop  5.0 operating system on his smartphone, perhaps wonders where the default android gallery app can be found.

To make it short: In Android Lollipop 5.0 there is no own Android Gallery app available. Instead of this app Google offers only the app "Photos" on. This is unfortunately not nearly as practicable, as the familiar Android Gallery app.

That's why we recommend you the app "QuickPic" from the Google Play Store, which can be downloaded for free. This very good gallery application for Android smartphones offers the already known functions and moreover some other nice gimmicks. QuickPic can be downloaded for free here.

Whether a gallery app will be available again in other Android Lollipop versions is debatable. But we hope that the app "Photos" is further improved.

After the update to Android Lollipop 5.0 I get a small exclamation mark in the status bar directly within the network indicator. What is the reason of the exclamation mark and what does it mean. If you ask yourself the question, after installing the the new Android Lollipop 5.0 at your smartphone, then we would like to inform you about it.

The exclamation mark in the network display which displays the signal strength of the cellular network in the status bar, simply means that you are not connected to the mobile Internet. Enable the mobile Internet on your Android Lollipop 5.0 Smartphone and the exclamation mark will disappear in the status bar. Why this feature has been implemented, is not to say. Unfortunately, it can not be disabled at the moment with the current versions of Android Lollipop 5.0.

There is the option in Android  to hide folders and the files in it. To do this, simply create a so-called "Nomedia" file in the appropriate directory. So far so good, but what if you now want to see a hidden folder or the files in it again? It is not possible with Android Apps to refind hidden folders or files. Luckily there are file explorer apps from third-party-developers that have more features and options than the "My Files" App from Android.

We now explain how to find hidden files on an Android smartphone.

First download the free File Explorer "Es File Explorer" on the Google Play Store.

This File Explorer makes all folders and files visible. Also folder with "Nomedia files". After downloading the ES Explorer open it on your Android smartphone. If you know the path of the folder, then you can open it now as usual. Should you not know where the folder is saved, then you can also use the search function at the bottom of the screen.
