When you open on the Samsung Galaxy S7 a file for the first time, then you are asked with which app you want to open this file by default.
To set an app as default, means that this issue will no longer appear and the file is opened by that app every time.
You have set an app as a default value for a file, document, etc? But what if you now want to open the file with another app? For this you can delete the default values and therefore restore the "open with" condition.
How it works with your Samsung Galaxy S7 in Android, we tell you now here exactly:
Opens from the start screen the menu and then the Settings. Tap on "Applications" and then on "default applications". In that submenu please select "Set as Default", unless it is one of the following applications:
- Browser App
- Call app
- Message app
These applications can be changed right in that submenu. If you are now in the submenu "Set As Default", then you see now all apps where an app assignment via “Open with” is possible. There are now two options:
- "None set as the default" means that this app is not associated with a file etc.
- "Set as Default" means that this app is set by default for a file etc. addiction
If you now want to set an app to “None set as the default”, then tap on the app. The next info window will display a button with "Clear defaults". Tap the button. Done!
Now, if you open a file which was previously opened with that app, then instead the window "Open With" will appear.
