The Samsung Galaxy S7 has installed a special screen, a so-called Always On Display. This display shows permanently the time, the calendar, the weather etc. when the smartphone is in standby mode. A nice feature, which you may know from old Nokia handys.
Would you like to not use the Always On display on your Samsung Galaxy S7, because you do not require this additional information permanently displayed, or want to save battery power, then you can disable this.
We tell you here how to turn off the Samsung Galaxy S7 "Always on display".
Therefore draw on the Samsung Galaxy S7 the status bar at the top of the screen to the middle. You now see various "toggles" (buttons with functions). One of these toggles is called "Always On display". Tap the button "Always On display" to disable it on the Samsung Galaxy S7, or tap on it again to re-enable it.
If the button is not visible, then tap on "Edit", so you can see all available toggles on the Samsung Galaxy S7. Here you will now find the "Always On Display" Toggle.
