Who has bought the new Samsung Galaxy S6 and now wishes to transfer his personal data, such as contacts, photos, memos, SMS messages, etc. from an older Samsung smartphone we would like to show how the datatransfer works quickly. For this you have to install on your smartphones, namely the Samsung Galaxy S6 and an older smartphone the app "Smart Switch" from the Google Play Store.
Download "Samsung Smart Switch"
After you have installed this app on your two devices, you must now proceed as follows:
Opens on your two smartphones the app "Smart Switch" and also activatethe WiFi and NFC connectivity on both devices.
If you are on the overview screen of the app SmartSwitch tap on the Samsung Galaxy S5 the button:
"Android to Galaxy".
Then you can select the data to be transmitted to your new Samsung Galaxy S6. You ca transfer the follwing data:
- Contacts
- Memos
- SMS
- Images that are saved to the internal memory
- Music in the device memory
- Videos on the device memory
- Documents that you have for example downloaded from the internet as PDF's, Word or Excel, etc.
- Call logs that are stored in your phone
- background image, which was currently set up on your old smartphone
- Lock Screen
- alarm clock settings
- Wi-Fi settings, you have saved, Wi-Fi networks inkl.passwords
If you have set the hook at the data to be transferred, tap "Transfer"!
Important! The two smartphones have to be close to each other so that the app SmartSwitch and the transmission is working properly. The smartphone communicate with each other now and the data is exchanged via WiFi. After the operation is ended you will find all the transmitted data and settings on your Samsung Galaxy S6.
This is a very quick and easy wayto move data from an old Samsung smartphone to a new smartphone like the Samsung Galaxy S6. This also works if you are upgrading from an iPhone to the Samsung Galaxy S6.
