Sometimes it may be necessary that the display of the Samsung Galaxy S6 remains permanently lit. If you find yourself in such a situation, then there is no possibility to disable the screen timeout without root privileges. Only one Android function can maybe help you: "stay awake"
With "Stay awake" the Samsung Galaxy S 6 is not set to the stand-by mode. Prerequisite here is that the Samsung Galaxy S6 have to be connected to a charging cable. If this option is useful for you, then we show you now how this can be enabled in Android. For this please proceed as follows:
Open from the Homescreen of the Samsung Galaxy S6 the menu and then the Android settings. Scroll down here to "Device Information" and tap on the entry. So you see various information on the screen. An entry which reads "build number" is visible if you scroll a little bit down.
In order to unlock the developer options you have to tap in rapid succession on the entry type "build number". After the seventh time tapping an information box on the screen will appear with:
“Developer options unlocked"
Now open the developer options on your Samsung Galaxy S6 within the settings. Enable the developer options and then scroll down until you see the entry "stay awake". Put a check in the check box to enable the feature on the Samsung Galaxy S6.
Then, when you connect your smartphone to the charging cable, the smartphone will no longer switch into the stand-by mode and therefore the display will remain permanently illuminated.
