This works as follows:

Open the Contact app on your Samsung Galaxy S6. If you find yourself in the overview, then tap at the top right on "More". A small menu pops up in which you now have to select the entry "Settings".

In the very first section "Manage and backup contacts" you can find the menu button "Import / Export contacts". Tap on this menu button and the menu for importing contact data appears. Tap now the "Import" button and then a window opens where "Sim card" must be selected. Select then where the SIM card contacts should be stored on your device. You can select:

  • Device
  • Google Account
  • Samsung Account

Have you made your choice, a list will be displayed with all the contacts that are located on the SIM card. Now mark the contacts that you want to import to the Samsung Galaxy S6. When you're done with your selection, tap in the upper right on the button "Done!
