Its always the same issue with new firmware updates for the Samsung Galaxy S5: One can not be sure whether the operating system is running properly and the same functions as before are still available. Therefore, there are many users who do not want to update to a new firmware if it is available. This is usually also useful since the first versions still have some bugs.
The new Android Lollipop firmware is available soon for the Samsung Galaxy S5. If you do not want to install on your Samsung Galaxy S5 this new Android OS, then you can hide the information about it in the status bar and just do not update. What you have to do, we explain in our article:
If you receive in your status bar the message that the new Android Lollipop update is available for download and installation, drag down the status bar and then press once long on the entry. A small pop-up will now appear with the name "app-info". Tap on the button and you will be automatically redirected to the app information. Here you will find directly under the "Stop" button in the app a checkbox "Show notifications". Erase the check in the checkbox to disable the message for the new Android Lollipop update permanently on your Samsung Galaxy S5.
You will now receive no longer any notification about the new Android Lollipop update on your Samsung Galaxy S5.
