If you are in the camera app on the Samsung Galaxy S5, then you may notice that there is no gear icon visible to open the settings. This means that you can not set settings such as resolution, shooting mode, ISO value, etc. independently. You would probably expect from other smartphones and also other Samsung smartphones this function.
Of course, the Samsung Galaxy S5 has the ability to make adjustments. The reason why the gear-icon for the settings is not displayed in the camera app on your Samsung Galaxy S5, is the so-called "Easy Mode", which is activated at your device. The Easy Mode reduces the settings of your Samsung Galaxy S5 to a minimum and thus of course also of the camera.
We show you now how to disable the Easy Mode on the Samsung Galaxy S5 and thus can open the settings in the camera app.
To perform these changes swipe from the home screen on the second page and tap the gear icon with "Simple Mode". In the next menu, you see a button with "Simple Mode". Tap on this in and you can switch in the next window to the "Standard mode" . Mark the corresponding entry.
You will now see a larger home screen incl. Menus etc. The settings in the camera app are now on the Samsung Galaxy S5 active and visible again.
