The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has the ability to expand the internal memory using a micro SD memory card. Thus, it is possible to have more photos and pictures or music stored directly on the device.
Of course, you can also save photos taken with the main camera directly to the memory card. The following instructions explain how this works on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8:
- First of all, please open the camera app for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and then adjust the settings by tapping the gear icon in the live overview.
- Scroll down the list of options until you can see "Storage" - Select the entry
- You will now see two different options:
- Device
- Memory Card
- From now on, highlight "Memory Card"
From now on photos are automatically saved to the memory card of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. This gives you more storage space on the smartphone's internal memory, since all new photos are stored directly on the memory card from now on.
Please note that you need a fast memory card, as for example high resolution video requires a fast write rate. Fast memory cards can be found on Amazon, for example.
