Samsung Galaxy Note 4 WhatsApp messages on lock screen displayed as "hidden content"

If you have updated your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to the current Android Lollipop, you might notice that SMS messages and WhatsApp messages will be displayed on the lock screen as "hidden content". This means that you cannot read on the lock screen of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, by whom the new message the message is and what he wrote. This feature in Android Lollipop on your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 shall help to keep new messages secret. They can only be read when you unlock the lock screen.

If you don't want to use this feature on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with Android Lollipop but rather want to read again the message sender and the content on the lock screen, then you can disable it as follows:

Open the following submenu:

Home Screen --> Menu --> Settings --> Sounds & Notifications -->While locked

It will now open a small window in which the following options are possible:

  • Show all content
  • Hide Sensitive Content
  • Do not show notifications

To show on the lock screen of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, the WhatsApp messages, and SMS messages again, select "Show All Content". Would you like Hide the sender information incl. content on the lock screen, then select " Hide Sensitive Content ".

You know now how to disable the function "hidden content" on your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with Android Lollipop.
