If you have a Garmin Forerunner 225/230/235/630, you may want to reset it to factory defaults. For example, the cause may be that the device is not working properly or you want to sell it.
In a factory reset, also called a hard reset, all data on the fitness tracker will be deleted and then the original configuration will be reloaded. This is how it works for:
Garmin Forerunner 225, Garmin Forerunner 230, Garmin Forerunner 235, Garmin Forerunner 630
Performing a factory reset on the Forerunner Fitness Watch:
- Turn off the Fitness Tracker
- Press and hold the down arrow button and turn the device on as usual with the Power On / Off button
- Hold down the button until "Erase user data?" appears on the display.
- Release the button
- Use the up arrow button and the red button on the top right to select "Yes" - Done! The factory reset is now carried out and all user data deleted!
You now know how to perform a factory reset on a Garmin Forerunner device.
