iPhone SE does not respond - soft reset

It can happen with your iPhone SE that this is disturbed during a program sequence and no longer reacts properly. Neither on touch inputs or by pressing buttons and thus the phone is no longer operable.

In such a case nothing helps except a reboot, called Soft reset. The soft reset is similar to the reset button on your PC or also resembles the interruption of power supply by the battery. The iPhone SE restarts after a soft reset and you can use it again as usual. Unlike a hard reset NO data is deleted when performing a soft reset.

We show you now which key combination must be pressed in order to perform on the iPhone SE a soft reset if this becomes unresponsive. For that press and hold the following two keys simultaneously for about 10 seconds:

  • Power on / off button
  • Home button

Even if the display goes black continue holding the key combination. If a small apple icon appears on the display, then the soft reset was performed correctly and the iPhone SE restarts. You know now how to do on the iPhone SE a soft reset.
