It may happen when you install an app from the Google Play store on your Android Smartphone, that the following error message appears:
"Unknown error code 24 during application install"
After the error message appears, the app was not installed and if you retry to install the app on your smartphone the error message will appear again and the download will not start.
What can you do now that the app will be downloaded anyway? We show you now, how you eliminate the error message and how to re-download and install apps without any problems.
To do this go from the homescreen of your Android smartphone, eg the Samsung Galaxy S5 to the menu and from there into the settings of the system. In the settings, go to "Application Manager" and then on the tab "All". You will find it to the far right. Now you will see all the applications and apps in alphabetical order, that are installed on your Android smartphone.
Search for Google Play Store and if you found the entry tap on it to open the app informations. If the app information is open do the following: Press the Buttons in the following order:
Force stop -> Uninstall updates -> Clear data.
Now leave the settings of your Android smartphones and reboot your phone. After your Android smartphone is rebooted open the Google Play Store as usual and navigate to the app you want to download. Now there shouldnt be no more errors with "Unknown error code 24 during application install" and the apps will be downloaded properly.
The Google Play Store will re-install after a short time the latest version automatically, but actually no more problems shouldnt bepresent. If, despite the unknown error 24 appears again, you have to repeat the process above.
