If you want to download with your Android smartphone apps from the Google Play Store, it can happen that you get the following error message on the display:
"App could not be downloaded due to an error (923)"
The error appears within the Google while trying to download an app.
The number "923" in this case stands for the error code. Since the error codes are not directly described by Google, one can only assume that this has something to do with the memory and the cache of the app. In general, however, one of the following two tips helps:
1. Empty the cache of the Google Play store
Open on your Android Smartphone the Application Manager.
Go to Menu --> Settings --> Application Manager --> tab "All"
Look here for Google Play Store and then tap on the entry to display the App Info card. Tap in this info card on the button "Clear cache". This should now erase the error 923 in the Google Play Store. If not, continue with our next tip:
2. Reset the app preferences in Android
Open the menu --> Settings --> Application Manager -> tab "All"
Now tap at the top right once on the three-point icon and select "Reset app preferences". Finished!
Now restart your Android smartphone so that the changes take effect. By now, the error 923 should be disappeared while downloading apps from the Google Play Store.
