This pop-up notification for new text messages appears in the app that is running at the moment. This can be annoying for example, when you're just playing a game or watching a movie. That is why we now explain to you how to disable in Android Lollipop these so-called pop-up notifications for new SMS.
For this purpose, please open from the home screen of your Android Lollipop smartphones the “message” app. In the overview of the app tap at the top right on the three point symbol and in the opening pop-up menu click "Settings". In this submenu now tap on "Notifications". You now find yourself a level deeper in the SMS settings. Here you can see now the "pop-up display".
