The Samsung Galaxy S6 was recently equipped with an Android Lollipop 5.1.1 firmware update. This firmware brings a number of improvements that Samsung Fans have missed. But this firmware version might bring also some errors on your smartphone along. If so, then try the following workaround, which should solve the biggest errors on your Samsung Galaxy S6. This workaround involves a so-called Wipe Cache partition.
This can be carried out as follows Samsung Galaxy S6 with Android Lollipop 5.1.1:
Turn your Samsung Galaxy S6 completely off. Then you have to press and hold the following keys to turn the smartphone on again:
- Power On / Off
- Volume +
- Home button
When the Samsung Galaxy S6 vibrates once, the power on/ off button can be released, but keep the other two keys from the key combination pressed until a small menu appears on the display.
Now mark the entry "Wipe Cache partition" by using the volume down key. With the Power On/ Off button, the entry is selected and the process is started. This usually takes only a few seconds. Then the previously displayed menu reappears. Select now the first entry with "Reboot system now" and execute the command again by pressing the power button. Your Samsung Galaxy S6 will now reboot.
Congratulations, you have now successfully performed a Wipe Cache partition on the Samsung Galaxy S6. This Wipe Cache deletes all the old system files that remain on board, for example, from the previous Android version and which have led to conflicts.
Your Samsung Galaxy S6 should now work as usual with Android Lollipop 5.1.1. Have fun with Android Lollipop 5.1.1 on the Samsung Galaxy S6!
