It is the function enabled on your Samsung Galaxy S5 that by pressing the Power On/ Off button, the lock screen immediately will be activated and your phone thus is locked. This function is usually quite useful if you want that the smartphone is quickly blocked by a pin or by a pattern or fingerprint, but can also be annoying. Luckily, you can disable this function in Android. How? We will explain it to you now in our article.
Open on the Samsung Galaxy S5 the menu and then the settings. Tap at "lock screen" for the next submenu. Scroll all the way down here until you see the entry "Lock immediately with On/ Off". Now remove the check mark in the check box to disable this feature in Android. You can now no longer lock the Samsung Galaxy S5 using the Power button.
As of now, the Samsung Galaxy S5 will lock automatically only after the expiry of the lock screen timeout.
