If you currently have the problem that your Sony Xperia XZ2 stops responding to touch inputs on the screen, or that the buttons on the side stop responding, you're probably a little desperate. Don't worry!
The problem is usually not serious and can be solved by a so-called soft reset. How this works is explained in detail below:
Forcing Sony Xperia XZ2 to restart by soft reset
- To do this, press and hold the Power On/Off button for about 12 to 15 seconds
- The Sony Xperia XZ2 should now restart immediately and Android should then be rebooted
- The system should now run stable again and all entries through the display or buttons should be accepted.
Important is that you are now troubleshooting. Often a newly installed app etc. is responsible for freezing the Sony Xperia XZ2.
Check which apps you have reinstalled in the past and whether they are responsible for the misconduct described above.
